The story of an olive grove
Baba Bahri is all about wild herbs, handcrafted olives, harissa and other artisanal products from Tunisia. But first and foremost, it's the story of Habib's conversion to organic farming, when he and his family decided to take over the family olive grove. A way of celebrating a terroir and showing what's good about Tunisia.

It was near the town of Zaghouan, not far from an ancient Roman aqueduct, that Habib's great-grandfather decided to plant olive and almond trees in the heart of a magnificent garrigue of wild and aromatic herbs. The sunny climate, the soils and the specificity of the species have created a balance, a haven of peace where it's good to live and where products with the sweet scent of Tunisia grow.
Our approach
Small harvests, local varieties, artisanal production: our aim is to promote agriculture on a human scale.
Olives, wild herbs, bitter almonds - most of our products come from our own olive grove, and are harvested with respect for nature's cycles. We also want to support the local economy and showcase our neighbors and local artisans who care about taste and well-made products. It's the expression of a terroir, a culture, a know-how that we defend and are proud of, because our wish is to reconnect the two shores of the Mediterranean and make Tunisia's culinary heritage better known.
Our products are 100% natural, with no additives, preservatives or added flavorings, and always from the latest harvests.
Finally, each stage of processing is carried out by hand or using semi-mechanical processes to guarantee the quality of our products and create local jobs.

Preserve the planet, to respect the men
Preserving the planet, and meet the men are two of our concerns. Certified organic, we attach great importance to our agricultural practices : diversification of crops, protection of species, local farmers, maintenance of areas of biodiversity and fallow, practical bee-keeping, preservation of fauna and flora local.
